We guarantee your monthly rental rate for a full year on your unit. That means once you move in, you won't have to worry about surprise rate increases for twelve months, a level of peace of mind you won't find at many other storage facilities. It's part of our commitment to honest, dependable, hometown service.
Our rentals are month-to-month, so you stay only as long as you need to. If you'd prefer the stability of a longer commitment, we also offer long-term leases. Whatever fits your situation, we'll make it easy.
Rent is due on the 1st of each month. If it isn't paid by the 5th, a $10 late fee applies and the unit is over-locked. If the balance still isn't paid by the 21st, an additional $25 late fee is added. To keep things simple, we recommend setting up recurring automatic payments.
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. You can pay in person, by mail, over the phone, or set up convenient recurring automatic payments. We don't currently accept PayPal, Venmo, or Apple Pay, though we're considering adding those options in the future.
We don't mail a paper bill each month by default. If you provide an email address, we'll send you email reminders. Prefer a paper bill? Just let us know and we'll be happy to mail one to you on request.
We do not prorate rent, and we don't offer refunds for partial months. Rent is charged by the full month, so we recommend timing your move-in and move-out with that in mind. If you have questions about timing, our team is glad to help you plan.
Security is one of our top priorities. Every location features tall perimeter fencing, gated card-reader access, and 24/7 cloud video surveillance. Please note that our cameras record around the clock but are not actively monitored in real time. We also keep our grounds cleaned daily and professionally pest-controlled to protect your belongings.
You control who has access to your unit. You can either accompany your guests yourself or list authorized people on your rental agreement, and the manager should always know who has the gate code. Keeping access limited to people you trust is the best way to protect your belongings.
Yes, tenants provide their own lock, and you keep the only key. We don't hold a copy. If you don't have a lock, no problem: we sell quality locks right at our main office. If you ever lose your key, we have procedures in place to help, and replacement locks are available for purchase.
Because you provide your own lock and keep the only key, we don't hold a copy. If you lose your key, just contact our office at (586) 382-1112 and we'll walk you through our procedures to regain access to your unit. Replacement locks are available for purchase at our main office, so you can get back into your space and re-secure it quickly.
Our units feature convenient roll-up doors, with door widths generally ranging from about 3'8" to 9' depending on the unit size. If you need exact measurements to make sure a large item or vehicle will fit, just ask the manager and we'll get you the precise dimensions before you rent.
The facility assumes no liability for goods stored in your unit, so we strongly recommend insuring your belongings. In most cases, you can add coverage for stored items to your existing homeowner's or renter's insurance policy, and it's usually quite inexpensive. Check with your insurance provider for details.
For everyone's safety, you may not store flammable, explosive, hazardous, or illicit materials. Living in a unit is not permitted, and you may not store live animals. If you're unsure whether an item is allowed, please ask us before storing it.
Yes. As a tenant, you're responsible for any damage to the unit or facility property caused by you or your guests. We ask all tenants to treat the facility with care so we can keep it clean, well-maintained, and pleasant for everyone.
